Ain't Worth It...

I'm walking down Mt. Etna in the pouring rain. It's very dark and cold... I can't see clearly. The rain feels like ice as it hits me. I walk for a long while in the rain and I'm starting to get ill. I keep walking. Finally, I reach the Navy base I was stationed at. I don't have the strength left to carry myself to the hospital and therefore, I collapse in a heap at the front gate to the base. Someone (I can't see their face) picks me up and carries me roughly to the hospital. Then nothingness...... I awaken (in the dream) in a hospital bed with a lot of needles sticking in both of my arms. My hands are handcuffed to the bedrails. I can't move, and I'm very frustrated and confused as to why I'm handcuffed. There is a guy in the bed to my left (I can't see his face). But I know he's terribly ill. I see two nurses walking by (can't see their faces) and hear them talking about the poor men in room 326. Evidently, the Navy has decided that they would only provide so mush care before they "put them to sleep". I feel sorry for the men, but I am getting really frustrated.... I start freaking out and thrashing my arms wildly. The needles fly out and a rainbow of colors ooze from them... my arms are bleeding. Try as I might, I can't free myself. All the struggling must have made too much noise, because a nurse (Spittin image of Aunt Jamima) comes rushing into the room. She doesn't say a word. I meet her eyes with mine and see only pitty. It dawns on me what room number I must be in. Fortunately, They had to unhandcuff me in order to put all the needles back in. When I almost have all the needles back in, I see another nurse pass by with a needle that is about three foot long and the syringe is about the size of a coffee can (its full of Red Liquid). There is a skull and cross bones on the side of the syringe. She walks to the man in the bed to my left, and raises the needle two-handedly over head. She then rams the needle in his gut. He screams (I scream inside). I start to fight with Aunt Jamima, but she hits me in the head with a rolling pin. (it is a dream :)). I go unconscious. I come to with an immense pain in my stomach. I can't see anything, and its very hard to breathe... it seems I'm in some sort of bag. I frantically search for a opening in the bag, and find a zipper. I unzip the bag and climb out. When I look around, I discover that the bag is a body bag and I'm in the morgue. There is a movement in another bag, so I unzip it. My cousin (who was then dead some 5 years (suicide (gunshot to the head)) pops out of the bag (bullet hole and all) and says "Thanks!". I run for the door. When I exit the morgue, I get a terrible cramp in my stomach that doubles me over. I wait for it to pass and enter an elevator. When it gets to the ground floor, I leave the hospital as quickly as I can, but Aunt Jamima shouts hey! and gets people to chase me. I run and slide under an ambulance. I see people's feet pass by and hear stuff like "He can't get far!" "He should already be dead!" "Take him out if you see him." I wait for a long time. Finally, when I think the coast is clear, I get up and walk to a nearby yard. I obtain some clothes (an Armani suit that is a perfect fit) from the clothesline and change into them. I start my walk. Its still night, and still pouring rain. It suddenly feels like maybe 5 minutes have passed since all this began! I walk to a friends house to see if my estranged wife is there. I have some gut wrenching cramps on the way. When I get to his house, I find there is know one there... So I continue on. I walk along the highway for awhile (its still raining and I'm getting the cramps more frequently). Suddenly, I see a squad car coming toward me, so I jump into the ditch. as it drives by I hear the radio inside. Someone on the radio was broadcasting a "be on the look out for me " message. They said I was extremely dangerous and must be shot on sight. I felt framed.... I keep walking along in the rain until I get to my estranged wife's house. I approach the wall which turns into glass as I approach. I peer inside and see naked men sleeping everywhere (I can't see they're faces). On the bed is a naked man with my estranged laying on top of him (I see her face). Her eyes open and she looks right at me! Her face remains expressionless as she turns her head away from me. Next thing I know there is a paint pony standing beside me, so I climb on. As I mount, a song starts playing and the sun starts rising.... The song was "She aint worth it, the girl aint worth it, all those things she's been putting me through, She ain't worth it, the girl ain't worth it, believe me, I know better than you!" The pain suddenly stopped as I rode away (I didn't look back). I ride to the top of a hill and as I look down, I see the valley I grew up in below me. -- Psycho Kat
